The project is designed to enhance regional infrastructure, foster economic growth, and drive long-term sustainable development in Nigeria.
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will lead the organisation’s financial strategy, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources, robust financial controls, and sustainable funding.
The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, procurement, and funding arrangements, while ensuring full compliance with governance and regulatory standards. This is a unique opportunity to shape the financial framework of one of Nigeria’s most transformative infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with project goals and timelines.
Drive funding initiatives, including equity, debt, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control.
Manage risk and ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders.
Lead and develop the finance team, fostering accountability and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong expertise in project financing, PPPs, and capital structure management.
In-depth understanding of construction financing, financial modelling, and risk management.
Familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations, tax laws, and IFRS standards.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, ICAN, or CFA is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10–15 years of relevant experience in project finance or infrastructure leadership roles.
