Key Responsibilities

As the Chief Security Officer, you will:

  • Develop and implement the organization’s overall security and risk management strategy.
  • Advise executive management on security risks, preventive measures, and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee physical security operations across offices, warehouses, and operational sites.
  • Ensure the protection of company assets, cargo, and facilities during storage, transportation, and distribution.
  • Manage security systems including CCTV, surveillance, alarms, and access control solutions.
  • Lead investigations and coordinate with law enforcement, regulators, insurers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive and corrective security measures.
  • Develop emergency response and crisis management plans for security incidents and disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations, standards, and international trade requirements.
  • Manage relationships with outsourced security providers and internal security personnel.
  • Coordinate employee security awareness and safety training initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, International Trade, or a related discipline.
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience in security leadership roles.
  • Have experience within commodity trading, logistics, export operations, or related industries.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of supply chain security and international trade regulations.
  • Possess excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and crisis management skills.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CPP, CISM, or CISSP will be an added advantage.
